ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) -- Rochester City Council members confirm the plan to expand Highland Hospital will be tabled and held in committee.
The hospital's current zoning designation is being phased out, so the hospital needs a zoning change to add additional floors on its southeast wing.
Last month, neighbors sent letters to the Rochester planning commission urging them not to change the zoning because they fear that could open the door to more building in the future.
However, Highland Hospital says its team is mindful of the potential impact the changes could have on their neighbors and they have worked hard to accommodate their suggestions.
There's still a hearing set for Thursday.
