City leaders sign charter to advance racial equity in Rochester

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) - Mayor Lovely Warren, City Council President Loretta Scott and Bob Duffy, CEO of the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce signed a charter Tuesday calling for strategies to advance racial equity. 

The year-long Let's Get REAL initiative will focus on workforce planning, grants, community empowerment, and media engagement.

The program hopes to bring government, business groups, and banks together to break any racial divide in our community. 

The initiative started in 2017 with the help of the National League of Cities
