On Thursday, News10NBC found city crews working at the home. However, we wanted to know how it got so bad in the first place since the house has been city-owned since January.

The city tells News10NBC that it took ownership in foreclosure but it doesn't take control until Friday.

The former owner was afforded due process and the eviction period ends Friday.
