The mayor is inviting the Rochester community to an input session in response to a scathing report on the Rochester City School District.

Last month, the expert, brought in by the New York State Education Department, called the district "dysfunctional."

Dr. Jaime Aquino, Ph.D.who has worked as a consultant since August, found a total of 106 issues within the district impacting student success. That includes the district's failure to implement past state recommendations. Dr. Aquino also made 84 recommendations.

The community input session will be held on Monday, Dec. 17 at 3 p.m. at City Hall.

If you plan on attending, you're asked to RSVP by emailing the mayor's Chief of Staff Alex Yudelson at Alex.Yudelson@cityofrochester.gov or by calling 585-428-6271.

If you cannot attend the meeting, feel free to contact Alex Yudelson to share your thoughts on where you believe the community should go from here.
