Crews are cleaning up after a train derailed in Attica.

Investigators say a Norfolk Southern train was carrying cars when it went off the tracks at the East Main Road intersection around 4 p.m. Thursday afternoon. Crews tell News10NBC one of the train's engines was still burning late Thursday night.

An engineer and a conductor were injured, but are expected to be okay.

The Attica fire chief tells News10NBC some of the rail cars fell about 50 to 70 feet, and others are being held up by trees.

Crews say the cleanup of the rail cars could take days.

The cause of the derailment is still under investigation.
