BROCKPORT, N.Y. (WHEC) - A Holley man is facing DWI charges after police say he was driving intoxicated and crashed into a liquor store.

“It was really crazy when it happened,” said Sarah Baresh, an employee at Canalside Liquor & Wine in Brockport.

Baresh was working when it happened.

“It’s just shocking," she said.

Baresh was sitting on a chair right next to the window but stood up to check out a customer. That sale saved her from getting crushed.

“I was kinda freaked out,” said Baresh.

She also credits the "customer parking only" sign for slowing down the truck.

Police arrested and charged 39-year-old Adam Foss with DWI

“It was pretty clear that he wasn't sober, but he definitely understood the weight of what was going on and knew he made a big mistake and was definitely happy we were ok,” said the clerk about Foss.

There is no word on the price tag of the damage but owners described it as "extensive". The store remains open for business.
