ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WHEC) – Buffalo Bills offensive lineman Cody Ford has been fined by the NFL for a controversial call former referees referred to as a blown call.
The league office decided to fine Bills right tackle Cody Ford $28,075 for a blindside block that knocked Buffalo out of range for a potential game-winning field goal in overtime.
The officials flagged Ford, prompting a widespread outcry — including a claim from former NFL V.P. of officiating Mike Pereira, according to NBC Sports.
The Texans defeated the Bills 22-19 in overtime last Saturday.
