ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Rep. Tom Reed, who represents New York’s 23rd District in Congress, collapsed Thursday afternoon in Washington, D.C.
The congressman's communications director tells News10NBC that Reed collapsed around 1:30 p.m. in the Cannon Rotunda of the Capitol Building. He was about to do an interview with Fox Business when it happened.
"Tom is in good condition, responsive, and being checked out by medical personnel following today's fall," Communications Director Will Reinert said.
The Republican has represented Southern Tier, Finger Lakes, and Western New York in Congress since 2010.
