ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Rochester Mayor Lovely Warren broke ground on Roc City Skate Park on Wednesday morning, with the hope that it will bring some new fun to downtown Rochester.
The skate park is under the Frederick Douglass–Susan B. Anthony Memorial Bridge, and will have mini-ramps and ledges, as well as competition bowls and a main skate promenade.
The park is expected to be finished by next fall.
It's one of the 30 Roc the Riverway projects which aim to create a seamless connection on both banks of the Genesee River.
