The following timeline is based on court papers.


Aug/Sept 2014: Laura Rideout and few of the Rideout children move in with Paul "P.J." Tucci, according to court papers.

Nov. 2014: Laura Rideout files for divorce.

Fast forward to July 2016

Tuesday, July 19: Craig Rideout was last seen around 11 p.m.

Night of Tuesday, July 19: Prosecutor say surveillance video shows a smiling Laura Rideout with Paul Tucci buying items at the Hudson Avenue Walmart. According to court paperwork there is a receipt that Tucci bought a 24-foot tarp, two bungee cords, drain cleaner (Liquid Lightening Drain Cleaner) and a Diet Coke.

Morning of Wednesday July 20: Craig Rideout’s body is found wrapped in a tarp in a wooded area. A 911 call led deputies 50 feet off Adams Road in Town of Jerusalem, Yates County. The 911 call came in around 8 a.m. Rideout's face has been burned with acid and he is not officially identified until days later. Witnesses put two vehicles at Adams Road around 5 a.m. -- one matching Craig Rideout’s Honda Odyssey description.

Afternoon of Wednesday July 20: Craig Rideout is reported missing. According to court papers, Robbyn Rideout, Craig's sister, calls police worried about her brother. Robbyn tried reaching Craig at work, but was told he sent an email saying his daughter was sick and he would be out.

July 20 around 1 p.m.: According to court paperwork, Robbyn went to Craig's home in Penfield. Robbyn told police she found Laura Rideout, Craig’s estranged wife, cleaning. Direct quote from quote court paperwork: "Laura said she was just tidying up because the kitchen smelled. I thought this was unlike Laura, because she rarely cleaned when she was living with my brother." Robbyn told investigators. Robbyn also said Laura told her, "I figured it wouldn't be long until someone came looking for him. I have no idea where he is."

July 20 2:18 p.m.: They both left the home at 2:18 p.m. and Robbyn called 911 to report Craig missing.

Thursday July 21: Monroe County Sheriff's Office gets a tip that leads them to Devil's Bathtub in Mendon Ponds Park. Investigators say they found 19-year-old Alex Rideout and 22-year-old Colin Rideout hiding evidence in the case of their father’s death including leather gloves, cleaning solutions and acid-based drain cleaner.

Friday July 22: Alex, Colin and Laura Rideout are arrested and charged with tampering with evidence. Laura Rideout also faces a burglary charge.

Friday July 22: Laura Rideout  posts $25,000 bail and is released.

Monday July 25: Alex and Colin post bail, also $25,000 each, and are released.

Tuesday July 26: Deputies find Craig Rideout’s Honda Odyssey at the Bushnell's Basin park-and-ride.

Wednesday August 31: News10NBC learns of the surveillance video from Walmart on Hudson Ave from night of July 19.

Tuesday September 6: Paul "P.J." Tucci, Laura Rideout's live-in boyfriend, is arrested and charged with tampering with evidence. According to court papers, Investigators found Craig Rideout's key fob on bed in master bedroom that Laura and Paul shared and a bungee cord matching the one wrapped around Rideout’s body in Rideout’s home. Tucci posts bail after the arrest.

Tuesday September 6: Laura Rideout submits DNA sample that DA’s office says will be tested and compared to blood sample found in Penfield basement and the Diet Coke can found in basement.

Friday, December 2: Laura, Colin, and Alex Rideout along with Paul Tucci are all indicted by a grand jury on murder charges.

Monday, December 19: All four defendants are arraigned on murder charges in the case.

Monday, December 19: Colin and Alex Rideout are pulled over on their way to court. Deputies say they find a rifle and knife in their vehicle. Colin Rideout is charged with aggravated unlicensed operation and a suspended registration.

Tuesday, December 20: News10NBC learns prosecutors have requested a re-examination of the death of Paul Tucci's late wife.

Monday, March 20, 2017: Newly released court paper reveal that Colin Rideout admitted to deputies that he helped his mother clean-up blood in Craig Rideout's basement. The statements were made after deputies say they found the brothers dumping evidence at Mendon Ponds Park.

Monday, April 24, 2017: The son of Paul Tucci, Theodore Tucci, is arrested after deputies say they found child porn on a computer. The computer was examined as part of the murder investigation.

Wednesday, June 14, 2017: The judge rules that the four defendants will be tried together, in one trial.

Tuesday, June 20, 2017: Jury selection begins in trial.

Friday, June 23, 2017: Opening statements begin in trial.

Monday, July 17, 2017: Closing arguments begin in trial, lasting two days.

Wednesday, July 19, 2017: Jurors begin deliberations in the case.

Tuesday, July 25, 2017: Jurors reach verdict in case. Mother Laura and son Colin are convicted of murder and other charges. Alex Rideout is found guilty on two counts of tampering with evidence. Paul Tucci is found not guilty on all charges.
