IRONDEQUOIT, N.Y. (WHEC) — With an early snowstorm on the way, it's not going to be easy to get around over the next 24 hours.

The roads will start to get messy Monday, before most of the snow falls. But crews across the state want you to know they're ready.

State officials say every piece of available snow and ice equipment is ready to be sent out, including more than 1,500 large plow trucks.

Depending on where you live, forecasters are predicting 5 inches to close to a foot of snow over the next day.

Road conditions will start to deteriorate Monday afternoon, getting worse through the evening.
