News10NBC is learning more about the encounter that started a manhunt in Geneseo last month.

On Monday, News10NBC obtained the criminal complaint against 49-year-old David Clyde Morgan, who is accused of pulling a gun on a Geneseo police officer during a traffic stop on Route 63.

According to the complaint, Morgan was outside the vehicle when he grabbed the weapon. The officer fired one round.

Morgan's passenger, Sandra Brown, was also outside the vehicle at that point and screamed that she didn't have a gun while Morgan escaped.

Brown said their plan was to have officers shoot at them, then run away and meet each other later.

As the manhunt continues, deputies are asking anyone who sees Morgan to stay away and immediately call 911.
