ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Former New York governor Andrew Cuomo released the first of what is expected to be several ads, that say he's been exonerated from charges he sexually harassed several women.

Cuomo's team targets New York Attorney General Letitia James in this first ad, calling her report on sexual harassment "bogus." His team has repeated many times that the investigation left out information. A criminal complaint was filed against Cuomo in Albany County in relation to the investigation, but a judge formally dismissed it. The Oswego County District Attorney and the Westchester County District Attorney both found there was not enough evidence in the report to charge Cuomo criminally.

Cuomo resigned after the AG's report released on Aug. 3, 2021, concluded he sexually harassed multiple women.

In response to the ad, James said: "The only thing Andrew Cuomo has proven himself to be is a serial sexual harasser and a threat to women in the workplace - no TV ad can change that."
