A cyber attack may have put Wegmans out $900,000.
Wegmans confirmed it filed a lawsuit on Wednesday against its Chilean seafood vendor, Invermar.
In the suit, Wegmans alleged the company's cyber-security allowed hackers to break into Invermar's electronic systems.
From there, Wegmans said the hackers were able to re-route Wegmans' payments into the hacker's own pockets.
It's not clear how much the hackers moved, but Wegmans asked Invermar for $900,000 in damages.
Wegmans says no customer data was compromised.
Its spokesperson declined further comment.
