ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — A man is facing at least 10 charges after illegally shooting and killing a duck in Seneca Park, according to the Department of Environmental Conservation.
The incident happened on Oct. 10, when ducks were not in season.
DEC officers say the man, whose name has not been released, shot the mallard duck with a rifle from his car. He did not have a hunting license. It is also illegal to hunt in a county park.
The charges include hunting waterfowl out of season, hunting wildlife from a motor vehicle, discharging a firearm across a public highway, and possession of a loaded gun in a motor vehicle.
