December Lyell Avenue fire ruled an arson

The Rochester Fire Department has confirmed to News10NBC that a December fire on Lyell Avenue has been ruled an arson.

The December 29 second-alarm fire had been under investigation ever since it occurred. Nobody had been living in the residence at the time, but significant damage was done to the second floor and roof of the building.

The news that the fire was intentional comes just a day after the December fire that destroyed a Thurston Road apartment building was also being considered an arson case.
