PERINTON, N.Y. (WHEC) — A Rochester man is facing assault and burglary charges as a result of a domestic assault and stabbing.

Deputies responded to Arbor Court in Perinton Tuesday around 8:30 a.m. where investigators say a juvenile was stabbed in the leg and shoulder with a knife after getting into a physical confrontation with a 17-year-old female.

The victim, whose name has not been released, was treated at Strong Memorial Hospital and released to a safe haven for juveniles with a safety plan in place.

Deputies say 21-year-old Kamaal Beachum was inside the home during the confrontation, violating a previous order prohibiting him from entering the home.

Beachum is charged with felony burglary in the first degree and misdemeanor assault in the third degree. He was arraigned and remanded to the Monroe County Jail on $5,000 cash/bond.

The 17-year-old was released to the custody of her father pending a grand jury referral.
