The victim said that he left his 2012 red Honda Civic unlocked, keys in the ignition and vehicle running, while he went into the store. When the victim returned, his car was gone.

Witnesses observed a black male, in his 20's, with a slim build as the potential suspect. The vehicle was recovered by police in Irondequoit on Sept. 29.

Deputies say that on Oct. 11, just before 6:30 a.m., a similar situation occurred at the same Plank Road gas station.

The victim said she left her purse, wallet, cell phone, and other valuables in her 2006 blue Toyota Corolla, with the keys inside, while she went into the store. When the victim exited the store, the vehicle was gone.

Police recovered the vehicle on Oct. 14 on Weaver Street in Rochester.

Witnesses and the store surveillance video revealed that the suspect was once again described as a black male, in his 20's, with a slim build.

Investigators believe the suspect in both the Sept. 26 and Oct. 11 incident is the same person.

Deputies are asking anyone with information to contact them at (585) 753-4175.
