Deputies identify Williamson man in critical condition after being hit by car

WILLIAMSON, N.Y. (WHEC) – A man had to be airlifted to the hospital after getting hit by a car in Williamson Wednesday night.

Wayne County Sheriff's deputies say 52-year-old Dale Cook of Williamson was running across Route 104 near Pound Road when he was hit around 9:30 p.m.

News10NBC confirmed that he was taken by Mercy Flight to Strong Memorial Hospital. He is listed in critical condition. 

The area was shut down for several hours overnight and finally reopened around 1 a.m.
