At 11:10 a.m., deputies responded to Leibeck Road in Riga as part of the investigation and found 75-year-old Florence Ford of Riga who was unresponsive.
Deputies believe she had been in that condition for a couple of hours. She is currently in guarded condition at Strong Memorial Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Investigators say that both victims appear to have been bludgeoned.
Throughout the investigation, deputies tracked down a person of interest identified as 52-year-old Arnold Ford Jr. near Erie, Pennsylvania.
State Police in Pennsylvania found Ford Jr. dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in a vehicle.
Investigators believe the murder victim was Ford Jr.'s wife and that Florence Ford was his mother.
