Deputies search for Chili robbery suspect

CHILI, N.Y. (WHEC) -- Deputies are searching for a man who allegedly robbed a convenience store Sunday night.

Deputies responded to the Express Convenience Store on Chestnut Ridge Road in Chili just after 8:30 p.m.

An employee told investigators the suspect entered the store and demanded money and cigarettes. The suspect allegedly had his hand in his pocket in a threatening manner when demanding money, but did not display a weapon. 

The employee gave the suspect money and a pack of cigarettes then the suspect left the store.

The suspect is described as a black man in his mid-20s, about 5'7" and 200 lbs. He was wearing a blue ski mask with holes cut out for his eyes and mouth, dark clothing with jeans and wore blue surgical gloves.

Deputies and K9s searched for the suspect but did not locate him. 

Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
