Divided groups gather outside Planned Parenthood

Two groups crowded the front of a Planned Parenthood in Rochester Tuesday night.

One group, a protest of the other group, yelling at ROC Sidewalk Advocates for Life. The group came to show support for Planned Parenthood.

Meanwhile, the ROC Sidewalk Advocates for Life planned a quiet vigil for Tuesday night.

Members say they're ready to sue now that the state Attorney General's Office and the city ruled to keep them behind a yellow line near the Planned Parenthood facility on University Avenue.

"What we hope to have accomplished is just to have the constitutional right to assemble, and to be able to access the sidewalk like anybody else," exclaimed Jim Havens, ROC Sidewalk Advocates for Life.

Havens says they simply want to give women options before they go in for an abortion.

While Planned Parenthood says it respects the right to assemble, big groups right outside the door hinder access and cause disruption, which is exactly what it's trying to avoid.
