ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The state DMV is reminding New Yorkers to renew expired documents, including vehicle inspections, registrations, and non-driver identification cards before the grace period ends Nov. 3.

Documents expired on or after March 1 were extended through Nov. 3. If you’re pulled over with an expired document after Nov. 3, you could be issued a ticket.

The DMV encourages those who need to renew a driver's license to do so online before it expires.

If you need to visit the DMV in person, you need to make a reservation.
