DMV warns of scam texts

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The Department of Motor Vehicles is sending out another warning to New Yorkers about a text scam.

We know these texts did go out to people in the Rochester area.

One asks you to validate your COVID-19 status and another one asks you to verify your driver’s license information.

If you got these, delete them right away. Do not click on them. It’s a scam.
