ROCHESTER, N.Y.(WHEC)—News10NBC is celebrating another winner of the “Do the Right Thing” award. Meet Aney Noor, from the Wilson Foundation Academy.
She was nominated for her mature and responsible actions. One morning back in March, Aney arrived at school and immediately went to get help because she was concerned for the welfare of one of her friends. Aney had not seen or heard from her friend that morning,
and there were alarming social media posts the friend had made the night before.
Staff found the friend and addressed the safety issue, then also helped a second friend who was in distress and thinking about harming themselves. Aney's actions on this day potentially saved two young lives.
Congrats, and thank you, Aney!
The Do the Right Thing Awards program has been part of the Rochester Police Department since 1995 and News10NBC is a proud sponsor of the program.
