ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC)— News10NBC is celebrating another winner of the “Do the Right Thing” award, meet Bobby Mapes, a first-grader at Ivan Green Primary School.

His great aunt nominated him for his heroic actions last summer.

Bobby was out at a family pool when a two-year-old drifted into the deep end. Bobby immediately swam out to save him.

The two-year-old did have on a floaty,  and adults were nearby, but you never know what can go wrong, and Bobby made sure nothing tragic happened.

Great work, Bobby!
