ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC)—News10NBC is celebrating another winner of the “Do the Right Thing” award, meet Charlie Gascon, a first-grader at Jefferson Road Elementary in Pittsford.
The fire chief there nominated Charlie because back in January, he saw smoke coming from his neighbor's house. He knew there was a danger so he ran inside to tell his dad who then called 911.
Firefighters got there in a hurry and knocked the flames down before it could get even worse and maybe burn neighboring homes. No one got injured!
Way to go, Charlie!
