ROCHESTER, N.Y.(WHEC)—  News10NBC is celebrating another winner of the “Do the Right Thing” award.

Emmalee Klembczyk from Penfield High School is known for her kind and caring heart,  Emmalee got recognized for her work with the Heart of Dance, an inclusive dance group for performers of all abilities.

Every year, she's put on a show helping others with special needs, from just a few months old to senior citizens. She's also been on mission trips to serve other communities, for that, she's seen as a model student.

Congrats, Emmalee!

The Do the Right Thing Awards program has been part of the Rochester Police Department since 1995 and News10NBC is a proud sponsor of the program.

Any student enrolled in grades k-12 in any Monroe County school is eligible for nomination. The good deed the student is nominated for must have occurred in Monroe County within one year of the nomination. Anyone over 18 years-of-age can submit a nomination form (this includes family, friends, school staff, coaches, etc.).

Nomination forms can be completed and submitted electronically or you can print the PDF form and email or fax the completed form. Forms are also available at any RPD building and any City school or City library.

Nominations can be emailed to DoTheRightThing@cityofrochester.gov or faxed to (585) 428-6093.
