ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) —News10NBC is celebrating another winner of the “Do the Right Thing” award, meet Cosgrove Middle Schooler, Evan DiCataldo.
Last December, Evan was upset and wouldn't tell his dad why. Turns out, Evan was trying to help a friend on Snapchat who said she'd been taking pills for hours!
Evan didn't know where she lived but stayed in contact with her until first responders could piece together where she was and get her help. She got checked out at the hospital, and the next day reached out to Evan to say thank you.
Great work, Evan!
The Do the Right Thing Awards program has been part of the Rochester Police Department since 1995 and News10NBC is a proud sponsor of the program.
