ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC)— News10NBC is celebrating another winner of the “Do the Right Thing” award, meet Matai White, an eighth-grader from McQuaid.
A former teacher nominated him, she taught him when he was four and knew he would do great things.
Ms. Shauna Clark has kept in touch and says Matai is doing a lot to help those in need, from donating time, money, gift cards, blankets, and more to the homeless in his neighborhood.
Last year, Matai was starting taking care of his great grandfather when he was in hospice, doing everything. He lost his great grandfather in December but made such a difference in those final precious months.
