ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC)— News10NBC is celebrating another winner of the “Do the Right Thing” award, here's Paradise Williams, a third-grader at School 29.
A 911 worker nominated her for her ability to stay calm during a chaotic situation.
Last February, Paradise called 911 needing help for her mom who was sick. She gave first responders all the vital info and directions, as well as a description of her neighborhood and all.
EMTs were getting ready to head out, then Paradise's mom called back saying everything got better and there was no longer an emergency need.
But just in case, Paradise had them ready.
Way to go, Paradise!
