The state has revoked the license of a Rochester doctor convicted of hiding a body in his backyard.

William Lewek pleaded guilty in 2014 to tampering with physical evidence. Officers found Matthew Straton's body in his backyard.

Lewek told police that Straton died of an overdose at his home and that he buried him instead of calling police.

Lewek surrendered his medical license temporarily in May 2014. The New York State Department of Health barred him from practicing medicine last week.
