Driver seriously injured after rollover crash in Penfield

PENFIELD, N.Y. (WHEC) — A driver is seriously hurt after a rollover crash in Penfield early Monday morning.

It happened on Dublin Road around 2 a.m.


Deputies say Daltun Roberts, 18, was speeding when he lost control of his 2015 Honda Accord, hit a tree, and rolled over.

Firefighters had to use Jaws of Life to extricate Roberts from the car. He was taken to the hospital with serious injuries and is currently listed in stable condition.

A 17-year-old passenger was also in the car at the time. She was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Roberts has been charged with reckless driving, speeding and three other traffic violations. Deputies do not believe drugs or alcohol were involved in the crash

Dublin Road was closed between Route 441 and Whalen Road but has since reopened.
