Driver ticketed after rollover in Penfield

PENFIELD, N.Y. (WHEC)- No one was hurt after a vehicle rollover in Penfield early on Saturday, although one person received a speeding ticket.

According to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to the reported accident on Blossom Road around 12:39 a.m., where they found a SUV rolled over on its roof. An investigation found that the Ford was traveling east on Blossom Road near Thomas Cove Road when the 17-year-old drive lost control of the vehicle as he attempted to take a curve in the road, leading to the flip.

The driver and two female passengers were uninjured, and deputies say alcohol and drugs were not a factor, although the driver was issued the ticket for speeding.

Blossom Road was briefly closed but is now reopene.d
