GENEVA, N.Y. (WHEC) -- On Wednesday, Geneva Police announced an arrest in a rash of drug overdoses reported early Sunday morning.  

Within just hours, officers responded to five overdoses in Geneva and two in Canandaigua. All seven victims needed Narcan to recover.

On Tuesday, Geneva Police arrested Hector Rondon, 54, of Geneva, in connection with the case. He is charged with one count of criminal sale of a controlled substance.

On Wednesday, Police also arrested Pedro Morales, 33, of Geneva, for criminal sale of a controlled substance.

Investigators believe that the overdose victims took fentanyl-laced powder cocaine.

Geneva Police say that the investigation into the overdoses remains very active and is not over following the two arrests.
