Dundee teacher arrested for stealing student funds

A Canandaigua native teaching in Dundee has been arrested for stealing over $3,000 from student funds at the Dundee Central School District.

According to the Yates County Sheriff's Department, 44-year-old Amy L. Corron was arrested on Monday after a Yates County grand jury indicted her with the charge of Grand Larceny in the 3rd Degree and Scheme to Defraud in the 1st Degree, both felonies. The Sheriff's Department says that Corron stole the money from student funds between September 2015 and December 2016.

According to her LinkedIn page, Corron is- or was- an English teacher in the district.
