Erie County executive speaks out on deputy's arrest of Bills' fan

Last year at a Bills game, a fan was arrested and suffered injuries allegedly at the hands of an Erie County sheriff's deputy.

Take a look at the body camera footage provided to our Buffalo affiliate.

Nicholas Belsito claims he went to inquire about a friend who had been arrested while tailgating, when a deputy set upon him, giving him a concussion, breaking his nose and then charging him with disorderly conduct.

That charge was later dropped and a judge recently ruled that he can move forward with his claim against the Erie County Sheriff's Office.

On Tuesday night, Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz is speaking out on the arrest.

Poloncarz posted to social media saying,"If any sheriff's deputy lies to create an evidentiary premise for an arrest, they should not be wearing a badge."
