NEW YORK (WHEC) — As the state transitions to cashless tolling, will peeling license plates be a problem? That's Monday night's Fact Check.
Last week, News10NBC reported crews are installing the cameras and sensors on the final gantry to complete the system.
Cameras will record who passes through by reading EZ Pass tags and taking pictures of license plates.
So what happens if a license plate is peeling?
The state DMV says drivers with peeling plates can be ticketed.
