ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — This week, News10NBC shared a story about Kotsia Lukyniuk, an Eastman School graduate from Ukraine whose visa is expiring, which means he has to go to his country that is being threatened by a Russian invasion.

One of our viewers saw that story and threw a farewell party for him Saturday evening.

"He blew my mind," said Chris Lofton, owner at the UUU Art Gallery. "He’s just a next level musician, and him leaving and going back to Ukraine… I just thought I’ve got to meet him. I’ve got to have him play here."

Lukyniuk went from the performance and then straight to the airport. He has an audition on Sunday at a music school in Miami, and then, back to Ukraine.
