The FBI stormed into the offices of one of the biggest developers in Rochester Monday.
Agents will only confirm they are conducting "court-authorized" activity at Morgan Communities in Pittsford and no arrests have been made.
Bob Morgan, CEO and founder of the company, has been heavily involved with several projects in Rochester and other cities, most notably Parcel 5, Tower 280 at Midtown, the new apartments near Dinosaur BBQ, and one of the Inner Loop projects.
The Buffalo News reported late last year, deals by Morgan were under a federal investigation for how he finances projects. It appears that investigation has now stretched into the Rochester area where Morgan Communities is based.
News10NBC's Investigative Reporter Jennifer Lewke has reached out to Monroe County and the City of Rochester -- both which do a lot of business with Morgan -- to see whether the FBI has subpoenaed any documents related to any projects they've done together. She has not heard back from either yet.
Lewke also reached out to Bob Morgan's attorney, who has not commented yet either.
