The Food and Drug Administration is expected to impose severe restrictions on the sale of e-cigarette products throughout the United States.
That is according to The Washington Post.
FDA Commisioner Scott Gottlieb is expected to announce a ban on most flavored e-cigarettes as early as next week.
The flavored e-cigarettes are sold in tens of thousands of convince stores and gas stations nationwide. Officials say they will also impose age-verification requirements for all online sales, among other rules.
This comes after the FDA noticed a huge increase in vaping especially among minors.
These restrictions are said to have a significant impact on the industry which has recently seen substantial growth.
