ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Several children and family advocates have taken on a bold plan to transform Rochester City Schools.
The Rochester Education Fellowship's first mission wants to hire someone to lead the initiative. The deadline to apply for the position was April 1.
News10NBC's Lynette Adams spoke with two of the group's founding members: Reenah Golden, the founder and artistic director of Avenue Black Box Theater and an adjunct faculty member at the University of Rochester, and Angie Perez-Delgado, president and CEO of the IBERO American Action League.

Several partners are behind this initiative, including Action for a Better Community, the Farash Foundation, Connected Communities, the Children's Institute, UNCF, and the City Fund.
