Fire Crews battle blaze at vacant home on Avenue D

Investigators are trying to figure out what sparked a fire at a vacant home on Rochester's north side.

Fire crews say flames broke out at a home on Avenue D, near Herbert Street, around 12:15 a.m. Thursday.

Investigators say the fire started on the first floor of the home, and quickly spread to the second. Firefigthers were able to knock down the flames, and nobody was hurt.

Investigators say the homes power and gas had been recently turned on, but a cause is still under investigation.
