ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — A large storm system in the Midwest will be our weather maker this weekend as a large area of rain will develop during the day tomorrow and eventually change over to wet snow overnight Saturday into Sunday.
Most of us will see just plain rain tomorrow, but parts of the Finger Lakes may get a little ice early in the morning before temps warm above freezing.
Rainfall could top a half an inch during the day with some big puddles and local ponding possible. Rain will change to snow close to the midnight hour. Slushy snow is in the forecast Sunday but amounts will be minor. Maybe an inch or two in Rochester with a bit more in the hills south and west of town.
