ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — It was a rainy and cloudy day here in Rochester on Sunday.

We will continue to see showers overnight into Monday as a couple of weak disturbances move through causing showers. We will wake up on Monday with temperatures in the upper 50s. Showers then head out the door but as we move into the afternoon we will see decreasing clouds. Highs on Monday will be in the upper 60s to low 70s.

After the rain passes Monday we are looking at a prolonged period of high pressure. This means we will see not only the sunshine return but for multiple days. Highs will continue to climb as we move through the week and into the weekend. By Friday we will be in the 80s once again and we can expect humidity to return to the forecast.

Next chance of rain will be next Sunday with temperatures in the mid-80s. We will continue to see rain in the extended forecast from showers on Sunday to on and off rain through Wednesday.
