The sentence comes after she had previously pleaded guilty to second-degree murder for the August 2017 killing of her mother, Michele Neurauter.

However, Neurauter's father confessed that he had committed the murder and manipulated his daughter for years.

The judge then agreed to reduce Karrie's sentence.
