ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Four Rochester Central School District schools were recognized for making significant improvements.
East Lower School, East Upper High School, James Monroe High School and Northeast College Prep High School are four of 14 struggling schools, but the State Education Department says they’ve made demonstrable improvements.
The 14 schools were initially identified in July 2015 as part of the first group of receivership schools.
Each school’s improvement plan includes student achievement and growth on state measures, graduation rates, student attendance, suspension rates, student safety and family engagement.
