ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — With many COVID-19 restrictions lifted, towns and villages are announcing their plans for the Fourth of July.

See the list below for times and locations in the area closest to you. All celebrations listed will take place on Sunday, July 4, 2021, unless otherwise noted.

BRIGHTON

The Brighton 5K kicked off the day at 8 a.m.at Meridian Centre Park. The Skycoasters will be performing from 8 p.m. to 9:45 p.m.  Fireworks display will go at Meridian Centre Park at 9:50 p.m.

FAIRPORT/PERINTON

The Village of Fairport, Town of Perinton, Wegmans, and the Fairport-Perinton Chamber of Commerce held their traditional Firecracker Five-Mile Run (5K) and parade on Saturday, July 3.

GREECE

The 5K Freedom Run kicked off the day’s festivities and led into a day filled with family-friendly activities including the Super Hero Sprint for kids, food trucks, musical performances, and a fireworks spectacle. The full schedule can be found here.

HENRIETTA

Gates at Veterans Memorial Park opened at 6 p.m. Live music by Brass Taxi started at 7:45 p.m. Fireworks display will begin at 9:45 p.m.

IRONDEQUOIT

A 2-mile fun run started at 8 a.m. and the 10K race started at 8:30 a.m. A parade followed at 11 a.m. Food trucks rolled in at 3 p.m. Fireworks start at approximately 9:30 p.m. at Town Hall Campus.

PENFIELD

Penfield held its annual Independence Day Parade and fireworks on Saturday, July 3. The parade kicked off at the Penfield High School at 10 a.m. with roads closing at 9:45 a.m. Fireworks will be launched at 10 p.m. from the hill at Harris Whalen Park.

ROCHESTER

A drone show starts at 10 p.m. in High Falls. The show will feature 200 drones that will make a series of aerial designs for 15 minutes. Fireworks start at 10:15 p.m. on the Main Street Bridge. Click here for a list of recommended viewing areas.

The Strathallan Hotel is holding its own celebration on the ninth floor from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., but the hotel will stay open until the City's fireworks display ends. Click here to buy tickets.
