WEBSTER, N.Y. (WHEC) -- It was a gorgeous day to celebrate seniors, so that is exactly what the Bay View Family YMCA did.

The sun was shining bright Wednesday for nearly 450 senior citizens who were able to enjoy a day of summer camp nostalgia.

Local senior citizens got the chance to exercise, play games, take part in archery and even go zip lining.

"When older adults can participate in stuff that's a little outside their comfort zone, plus with other people across the association from all the different branches that we have, they get to meet new people. Our theme is fun never retires and just to have a good time is really the objective of the day," said Laura Fasano, the vice president of healthy living at the YMCA of Greater Rochester.

Some of the other activities included tie-dying shirts, just like kids do at summer camp.

There was also some yoga down by the water.
