ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Goodwill of the Finger Lakes plans to end the use of single-use plastic bags at all of its stores starting in February.

The move comes a full month before the statewide ban goes into effect and follows a pilot program in two of its stores.

Goodwill shoppers will be encouraged to bring reusable bags or buy bags made from recycled materials that goodwill will sell for 99 cents.
